New support measures to prepare for economic recovery

On 20 May 2020, Deputy Prime Minister Dan Kersch, Deputy Prime Minister François Bausch and Finance Minister Pierre Gramegna presented a support package aimed at paving the way for a new start for the Luxembourg economy in the wake of the COVID-19 health crisis. With this additional package of measures, the final cost of which is estimated at between 700 and 800 million euros, the government has so far made available direct expenses amounting to 3 billion, or 5% of GDP, to support the economy.
