Luxembourg’s COVID-19 vaccination strategy supports access to safe and effective vaccines. This will reduce the health, social and economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. The vaccine will help save lives and make the best use of our resources.<\/p>\n

These figures are based on simulations from a SIR model developed by the Covid-19 Task Force.
\nThe results are drawn from the latest data available and on a number of assumptions.<\/p>\n

For example, it is assumed that all the individuals in the model have the same level of social interactions and also that there will be a gradual opening of society in autumn.
\nThe red curve shows the number of hospital beds occupied by COVID-19 patients if the vaccine coverage remains at 63.7% (which is the current coverage level across all age-groups).
