The aim of this new legal framework is to make the EU Blue Card more attractive to highly qualified third-country nationals wishing to work in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg or any other EU Member State.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The main objectives of this law are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To simplify administrative procedures for highly qualified third-country nationals wishing to work in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strengthening their rights during unemployment,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Speeding up their professional integration,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Facilitating their mobility within the European Union, and<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Simplifying procedures for family reunification.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This new legislation, which transposes <a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/FR\/TXT\/PDF\/?uri=CELEX:32021L1883\">Directive (EU) 2021\/1883<\/a> on the conditions of entry and residence of third-country nationals for the purposes of highly qualified employment and amends the <a href=\"https:\/\/legilux.public.lu\/eli\/etat\/leg\/loi\/2008\/08\/29\/n1\/jo\">law of 29 August 2008<\/a> on the free movement of persons and immigration, represents significant progress.
